Students enter the competition as individual entrants. Primary student parents are welcome to join in the creative process.

  1. Participate as an individual (click here to download the Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Secondary Category application forms).
  2. Participants must name the street washing vehicle (the name can be in Chinese or English);
  3. Participants must design a street washing vehicle based on the template or information provided by the Organiser;
  4. Participants must introduce the design concept in no more than 250 words in either Chinese or English.
  5. The size of the artwork must not exceed A4 (210 mm x 297 mm).
  6. Participants may use any art medium, such as watercolors, ink, pastel, oil paints, coloured pencils, pencils, crayons, and pens. Three-dimensional creations and computer drawings are not acceptable.
  1. Submit the original entry by mail or in person to the following address:

    The Secretariat  of “Little Artists, Big Changes” Carbon Neutrality – Hydrogen Fuelled Street Washing Vehicle Naming & Drawing Contest; or
  2. Scan the entry and email it to info@ArtForCarbonNeutrality.com.hk (Participants must keep the original work properly until the end of the event, that is, after receiving the award and certificate. If the entry wins, we will collect the original for further production.); or
  3. Submit via school. After the teacher-in-charge collects the original works, please contact the Secretariat of “Little Artists, Big Changes” Carbon Neutral – Hydrogen Fuelled Street Washing Vehicle Naming & Drawing Contest at 6284 5058.

If submitted by mail, the postmark date shall prevail. Artwork submitted after the deadline will not be processed.

Official results will be announced on the website  www.ArtForCarbonNeutrality.com.hk in December 2024. Winners will be notified individually.

All entries will be judged according to the following criteria:

  1. Theme conformity with hydrogen energy
  2. Originality and Creativity
  3. Design concept and overall composition
  4. Aesthetic expression

All entries should be able to display creative elements related to “street washing vehicle design” and “carbon neutrality”.

Each category will have one champion, one 1st runner-up, one 2nd runner-up and ten merit awards:

Winning Entries may be used for the naming and design of the Street Washing Vehicle appearance.

The e-certificate of Participation will be issued after the announcement of results.

*Any school that submits 80 or more entries will have the opportunity to receive the “Outstanding Participation School Award”.

  1. During the promotion period, all participants must submit their entries according to the specifications on the poster. Participants must read and understand all relevant terms and conditions carefully before participating in the Contest.
  2. Each participant can only submit one entry, and the same artwork can only be submitted once. Participants who submit multiple, incomplete, or non-compliant entries will be disqualified.
  3. Once submitted, entries cannot be modified, exchanged or returned.
  4. The data submitted by the participants will be officially recorded based on the data received by the Organiser’s server. In the event of any dispute, the Organiser’s records will prevail.
  5. To ensure fairness of the Contest, the author’s name (including English or Pinyin abbreviation) or any logo, graphics or other personal information related to the author’s identity shall not appear on the entries.
  6. The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss, damage, destruction, theft, delay or other problems during the submission process.
  7. Participants must ensure the originality of their entries. Anyone found to have misappropriated any other commercial or non-commercial copyright will be disqualified. If the entries violate the law, all legal responsibilities will be borne by the participants and the Organiser will not be held responsible.
  8. Participants must ensure that the information provided to the Organiser is accurate and complete. If the Organiser fails to contact the winner to claim the prize due to inaccurate or incomplete information, the Organiser will not bear any responsibility and the prize will not be reissued.
  9. Participants should ensure that the submissions comply with the Contest’s objectives and aims, and they do not contain pornography, foul language, violence, bad ideology, or commercial and religious propaganda, nor do they constitute defamatory, indecentness,  offense, racial discrimination or endangering national security, nor do they violate the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  10. The copyright of all entries belongs to the Organiser. The Organiser also reserves all rights to use the entries for the purpose of promotion, exhibition and/or printing without obtaining the participants’ prior consent and offering any forms of rewards or copyright royalty fee.
  11. The Organiser will not send any notifications after receiving the entries. All entries will not be returned.
  12. The decision of the judging panel over every instance shall be final and unchallengeable and in their absolute discretion.
  13. When publishing works, the Organiser has the right to publish the names of participants, school names and classes for promotional purposes.
  14. The participant information collected will only be used for purposes related to this event.
  15. Provision of personal data is voluntary. If the participant fails to provide sufficient information, he/ she may not be able to participate in the competition. All information provided by participants will be kept confidential. The Organiser will handle participants’ personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Participants’ personal information will be used by the Organiser and its authorized persons to identify the participants, for communication during the competition, for administrative purposes related to the competition, and for publication, printing, exhibition, display, distribution or other related purposes that the Organiser deems appropriate related to the participants’ works. If necessary, the Organiser may disclose relevant information to other government bureaux/departments or relevant parties to facilitate the aforementioned purposes.
  16. Participants must clearly understand the Competition rules. By submitting any entry, the participant hereby agrees to be bound by and accepts all competition Rules and Regulations.
  17. The Organiser reserves the right at their discretion to interpret and/ or amend the Rules and Regulations of the Competition.
